My wife and I are both professionals in the non-profit animal welfare and veterinary care field who just had our first child. While our preference would be to stay home and care for our child, our work circumstances don’t allow us to do so. As a result we are looking for someone who can provide the same loving care and attention to our infant son as we would if we could be at home. At this time we are seeking a care provider who is available to care for our son one full day per week (Tuesday) and a few hours on the other 4 weekdays while we work from home (a total of 20-24 hrs/week). We may expand this to the full work week starting in May, when we transition back to our full time schedule at work. Our ideal candidate must love pets and will be comfortable caring for our son in an environment with two cats and a slightly neurotic small dog. Position includes laundry, some light housework, meal prep for our child, minimal pet care, etc. Extensive infant care or early childhood education experience a plus. Rate $10-$12/hr, negotiable based on experience and availability.
