The Caregiver provides activity-focused resident care and implements a plan during his/her shift which consists of periods of rest for the resident, guidance in ADL's toileting schedule, physical activities, visitation, environmental adjustments and behavioral interventions. The Caregiver focuses on the abilities of the resident, not limitations.

The Caregiver provides activity-focused resident care and implements a plan during his/her shift which consists of periods of rest for the resident, guidance in ADL's toileting schedule, physical activities, visitation, environmental adjustments and behavioral interventions. The Caregiver focuses on the abilities of the resident, not limitations.
Responsibilities include
- Facilitation each resident's 24 hour plan to include recreation, ADLs, dining and other duties as assigned
- Supports the resident's abilities by understanding that all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity
- Participates in weekly care meetings
We seek the following qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills, high degree of service orientation, positive attitude and ability to multi task also required
- Must have completed training according to their state regulations and Brookdale Senior Living required training
- 3 months experience as a caregiver in an assisted living community
- All state required certifications (first aide, CPR) must be up to date
