The Caregiver provides activity-focused resident care and implements a plan during his/her shift which consists of periods of rest for the resident, guidance in ADL's toileting schedule, physical activities, visitation, environmental adjustments and behavioral interventions. The chosen candidate will need to focus on the abilities of the resident, not limitations.
The Caregiver provides activity-focused resident care and implements a plan during his/her shift which consists of periods of rest for the resident, guidance in ADL's toileting schedule, physical activities, visitation, environmental adjustments and behavioral interventions. The chosen candidate will need to focus on the abilities of the resident, not limitations.
Responsibilities include
- Facilitating each resident's 24 hour plan to include recreation, ADLs, dining and other duties as assigned
- Supports the resident's abilities by understanding that all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity
- Participates in daily care meetings
We seek the following qualifications
- Arizona Caregiver Certification required
- Excellent verbal communication skills, high degree of service orientation, positive attitude and ability to multi task also required
- Must be reliable, flexible, patient and compassionate
- Experience working with Alzheimer's snd dementia residents is preferred
- All Training provided
- Certified in CPR and possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card
