We are very dedicated to our residents and are looking for people who want more than just a job. A person who is interested in this position, must be able to complete the following position requirements
- Assist residents with bathing, hair care, mouth care, nail care and dressing, etc.
- Assist residents with ambulation including reminding and supporting.
- Assist and encourage residents to eat and take sufficient fluids and snacks.
- Assist residents with turning, repositioning, toileting, and personal hygiene (includes monitoring of bowel and bladder incontinence).
- Observe and report resident behavior, condition changes including weight change and signs of injury or neglect.
- Participate in or lead leisure activities as planned by activities coordinator.
- Assist and remind residents to participate in facility activities.
- Assist with all aspects of kitchen and dining room tasks associated with resident meals, including prep work, serving, cleaning up, setting tables, taking out trash, etc.
- Perform general housekeeping/laundry tasks and related duties as assigned.
- Have experience with medication management in a long term care environment (not required for a resident caregiver position, but is for a resident care specialist). Stable Employment History is a MUST. Willing to train. To complete an application, please go to Michigan Works in Lansing, Michigan.
