The philosophy of a Green House Project© home is centered around the elders. In this home-like environment, caregivers can offer a higher level of nurturing care. Elders have the opportunity to be more involved in daily activities including cooking, planning menus, and picking furnishings and décor for their home. Family and friends of the elders are welcome and encouraged to visit any time to keep those ties strong.
The ideal candidate for this position will work with residents, families, health care professionals and other parties to provide medically-related social services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Requirementsfor the position are:
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Current State of Alaska licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Two or more years experience in social work
- Must be able to read, write and speak English Preference will be given to those candidates that have experience in family assessment, geriatric populations, disabled, chronically ill and undeserved populations.
